(This reminds me of when I was a child and sent to get a book, or to the library, to "look it up"...)

Airport 'X-ray art' courts TSA trouble - Network World
Take a metal plate, stencil and cut out a message -- words or an image -- place the plate at the bottom of your carry-on bag, and watch what happens as the TSA employee operating the airport X-ray machine notices . . . or doesn't notice.(If someone would give some of these to me to use when I travel, I would...)

New dads can get postpartum depression, too
...a male version of postpartum depression..."They can't stand to be around their baby...they can't stand the smell or the sound of their child screaming"...sadness, a sense of worthlessness and a loss of interest in sex or hobbies. A rocky relationship with a spouse, a sick or colicky baby, anxiety about becoming a father and a history of depression can also contribute to the condition. Men are also more likely to hide their depression from loved ones..."If a man doesn't get effective treatment for his depression, it could have damaging, long-term consequences for himself, his marriage, his career and his child"...Financial responsibilities also can fuel pressure...

City-owned fiber network a go as judge tosses telco lawsuit
A judge has dismissed a telco's entire lawsuit against a Minnesota community that decided to build its own fiber-to-the-home network.
The argument by the company (Bridgewater Telephone Co., also known as TDS Telecom) was dismissed...the city has the authority to use the money for public services, such as a high-speed network. The city used revenue bonds to finance its project. Revenue bonds are traditionally used by communities to pay for public infrastructure or community improvements...if the projects are considered a convenience for the public. They are sold to investors after being approved by voters in a referendum.
